L’Arpeggiata is a baroque music ensemble directed by the harpist and lute player Christina Pluhar. Its members are today’s finest instrumentalists and in addition they work with the most exceptional singers from the Baroque and the traditional music worlds.

L’Arpeggiata‘s work and philosophy is based on improvisations on the music of the 17th century, a rich sound texture by blending all colours of various plucked instruments from the baroque period, a vocal interpretation influenced by traditional Italian music, as well as the creation and staging of attractive shows.

Since its foundation in 2000, L’Arpeggiata has had an incredible response from the audience as well as the critics: They have sold over 200,000 copies of their CDs and have received outstanding reviews for their albums and concerts.

Furthermore, L’Arpeggiata gives concerts in festivals such as Lufthansa Festival London, Oude Muziek Utrecht, Festival de Pontoise, Printemps des Arts de Nantes, Theatre de Poissy, Theatre de Bordeaux, Rencontres de Vezelay, Festival Musique Sacree de Fribourg, Pfingstfestspiele Melk, Emociana Antigua Madrid, Flagey a Bruxelles, Festival de St Michel-en-Thierache, Festival de Sable-sur-Sarthe, Brugge Musica Antica, Hong Kong Arts Festival, among many others.
